TRAVELING TO THE 2017 ANNUAL CONFERENCE IN A GENERAL AVIATION AIRCRAFT?
If you’re planning to fly in to the 2017 Annual Conference in a general aviation aircraft, Fairhope’s H.L. Sonny Callahan Airport (KCQF) is highly recommended.  The Fairhope Airport is conveniently located within a short drive to the Grand Marriott Hotel and the Hampton Inn.  Runway 1/19 is 6,604’ x 100’ with RNAV (GPS) approaches to both ends. A VOR/DME-A approach also is available.  More information about KCQF can be found here:  http://www.airnav.com/airport/KCQF .

The Fairhope Airport Authority and Continental Motors Services, several of our local conference sponsors, have teamed up to be the host airport for those arriving by general aviation aircraft.  Continental Motors is Fairhope’s Fixed Base Operator and you will be greeted by its manager, Mr. Joe Baggett, and his team of line personnel to assist you with your service requests.

In addition to the aircraft engine manufacturing facility in Mobile, Continental Motors also operates an engine overhaul and installation facility at the Fairhope Airport.  Led by a team of highly skilled mechanics and service technicians, Continental Motors Services offers maintenance, repair and overhaul for Continental, Titan, and most other piston aircraft engines as well as avionics and interior upgrades and PT6 overhauls.  The Alabama Department of Transportation’s Aeronautics Bureau is proud to have the Fairhope Airport Authority and Continental Motors support this year’s conference.
For your convenience, the Alabama Aeronautics Bureau will be providing shuttle van service between the Fairhope Airport and the Grand Marriott Hotel or the Hampton Inn.  To help us make this service work as smoothly as possible upon your arrival, please provide the following information to Taylor Janney, our conference transportation coordinator, by e-mail at janneyt@dot.state.al.us, no later than Tuesday, September 5.
