MAJOR UPDATE STREAMLINES GA PILOT LICENSING IN EUROPE

Under a new rule issued by the European Commission (EC), GA pilots have a new framework for achieving the competency-based instrument ratings and the en-route instrument rating, establishing a more proportional path for instrument flight operations for GA pilots, according to GAMA. The new regulation is a major update to the European Aviation Safety Agency’s requirements for GA pilot licensing.

NASAO holds two formal conferences each year – our Annual Convention and Trade Show, typically held in September and a Washington Legislative Conference held in the nation’s Capital during the February/March timeframe. NASAO also has a presence at EAA’s AirVenture, held each year in Oshkosh, Wisconsin in late July.
