The North Dakota Aeronautics Commission announced the hiring of Kyle Wanner as its new Director. Wanner has been with the agency since 2011 and spent the previous 4 months serving as Interim Director. Originally from Mandan, North Dakota, Wanner is a graduate from the University of North Dakota Aviation program where he received a bachelors in Business Administration. Wanner is looking forward to providing solutions for the many challenges that lie ahead for the North Dakota aviation community. “We are at a critical stage in the development of much needed aviation infrastructure throughout the state and are working to continue the integration of Unmanned Aircraft Systems into the National Airspace System.” North Dakota has a long history of being a leader in the aviation industry and Wanner says that he is looking forward to continuing that tradition as they move forward.
