WILLISTON NAMED TSA’S 2014 AIRPORT OF THE YEAR

Sloulin Field International Airport in Williston, North Dakota received the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) 2014 Airport of the Year award. The award is given to an airport that recognizes the effectiveness of TSA operations in regards to passenger security, incident response, and customer feedback. “Williston is located in the epicenter of the Bakkan oil play and has seen an unprecedented growth of passenger numbers in recent years. The ability of the airport to safely accommodate this large passenger growth while operating in a terminal that was not designed for such a large increase is commendable.” said Kyle Wanner. “The recent announcement of Williston being named TSA’s 2014 Airport of the Year is great news for the state of North Dakota and to all of the hard working individuals involved in ensuring that the airport continues to operate as a safe airport.”
