Our Vision: To be the nationally recognized voice for the public interest, states and territories on aviation and the national aviation system.

ALmuniairportJohn Eagerton shared the news that after 15 years of planning and implementation, the first 4,000 feet of the new 5,005-foot Guntersville, Alabama Municipal Airport runway opened Saturday, June 20, with a dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony that drew a crowd estimated at 200 people. The expanded facility also includes an interim office and two new 10-unit T-hangars, with more hangars and a new terminal building planned.

In addition to Dr. Eagerton, Dennis Roberts, FAA Southern Regional Director and NASAO Alum, provided remarks. Roberts said that this project has been a great partnership and a real success for FAA, ALDOT and the City of Guntersville.
