Queen Named WV Aeronautics Commission Acting Director

Robby Queen was recently named Acting Director of the West Virginia Aeronautics Commission by West Virginia Department of Transportation Secretary Tom Smith.  In addition to this role, Queen serves as Special Projects Director for the WVDOT, where he has assisted with legislative and intergovernmental affairs since February 2017.

Prior to joining the team at WVDOT, Queen served as Director of Intergovernmental Affairs and Senior Staff member to then-West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin. Queen also has served in the offices of former Governor—and avid pilot—US Senator Joe Manchin, III, and former US Congressman Nick J. Rahall, II, who was the ranking member of the US House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure.

Queen is a native of Logan County, in the heart of the coalfields of West Virginia, a graduate of West Virginia University, and currently serves with various boards and organizations across West Virginia.
