NASAO PUBLISHES ANNUAL STATE AVIATION FUNDING AND ORGANIZATIONAL REPORT

Silver Spring, Md. – Each year, state government aviation agencies provide a multitude of services to the aviation community in support of the national air transportation system. The National Association of State Aviation Officials has just published its annual report titled State Aviation Funding and Organizational Data, detailing these services for fiscal years 1998 and 1999. The report documents the current status of each state’s involvement in a variety of aspects of aviation. The data published for each state was gathered through an extensive survey of the states, Guam, and Puerto Rico.

The State Aviation Funding and Organizational Data report is divided into two separate sections. The first section includes a three-page presentation of data on each state aviation agency including their organizational structure; aviation programs and publications; numbers and categories of airports; funding sources and expenditures; and federal and state grant programs. The second section of the report contains 13 comparative tables that present a national summary of aviation funding and programs across the United States.

"We are very pleased to provide this valuable information to the public on the activities of state government aviation agencies nationwide," said NASAO President and CEO Henry Ogrodzinski. "The states play an integral role in providing funding and services to the national aviation system and this report documents those vital efforts."

The 180-page State Aviation Funding and Organizational Data report is available at a cost of $60.00 per copy. The NASAO State Aviation Funding and Organizational Data report can be obtained either by filling out and returning the enclosed publication order form or by downloading a copy of the publication order form at http://www.nasao.org/publications/.
