Silver Spring, MD – Delaware Office of Aeronautics Director Anthony J. Amato has been elected Treasurer of the National Association of State Aviation Officials by the NASAO Board of Directors. During a meeting held at the EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, the NASAO Board of Directors unanimously elected Amato as its Treasurer.

He assumed the aeronautics director’s position in Delaware, after a distinguished career in the United States Air Force. In addition to being a rated Airline Transport Pilot with over 11,000 logged hours, he is an active multi-engine and instrument certified flight instructor. Amato has been the Delaware director for seven years and fills a vacancy created by Jack Ferns, director of the New Hampshire Division of Aeronautics, move to Secretary of NASAO. Amato’s term expires September 30, 2000.
