February 20, 2001NASAO PUBLISHES ANNUAL STATE AVIATION FUNDING AND ORGANIZATIONAL REPORT
Silver Spring, Md. The National Association of State Aviation Officials has published its annual report entitled State Aviation Funding and Organizational Data, detailing aviation services provided by the state governmental aviation agencies for fiscal years 1999 and 2000. The report documents each states involvement in many aspects of aviation, including pilot and aircraft registrations and licensing, aviation education programs, capitol improvement plans, noise compatibility programs and many more. The data published for each state was gathered through an extensive survey of all 50 states, Guam, and Puerto Rico.
The State Aviation Funding and Organizational Data report is divided into two sections. The first section contains a three-page presentation of data on each state aviation agency including their organizational structure, aviation programs and publications, numbers and categories of airports, funding sources and expenditures, and federal and state grant programs. The second section has 13 comparative tables that present a national summary of aviation funding and programs across the United States.
"We are very pleased to again be able to provide this valuable information to the public," said NASAO President and CEO Henry Ogrodzinski. "The activities of the state aviation agencies play an integral role in providing funding and services to the national aviation system and this report recognizes their efforts."
The 180-page State Aviation Funding and Organizational Data report is available for $60.00 per copy and can be obtained by filling out the enclosed publication order form and returning it to NASAO by mail or fax. The order form is also available at http://www.nasao.org/publications/.
